    History

    The local people of this place said that, Once Laxmi Devi left, Shri Mandi and Jagannath Balabhadra became poor. So they had to go to begging. When they went begging, Subhadra was staying there with maa Mausi, known as Ardhashini. It has been mentioned in the Skanda Purana that goddess Ardhashini drank half of the seawater, which is flooded puri. During the return journey of the Ratha Yatra festival, the chariot of Shri Jagannath stops at Mausi Maa Mandir and is offered their favorite Poda Pitha, a kind of baked cake made with lentils and rice.

    By road: I think by road is the best way to reach there. You can hire a car or cab to reach your destination directly. Otherwise you can take a bus to reach Bhubaneswar city first, then take a auto rickshaw to reach anywhere.
