    Megheswar Temple, in the old town area of Bhubaneshwar, is one of the temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is a 12th-century Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Shiva. It is located in the Tanka Pani road area in Bhubaneswar, India. This temple is the perfect example of a calm environment and a pure place to connect with Lord Shiva and receive blessings.     History

    This temple was built by the instructions of Swapnesvara, who was the brother-in-law of the Ganga King Rajaraja. The inscription is dated to the reign of Rajaraja’s brother, Anangabhim, who was king for just three years between 1192 and 1195 AD. It’s one of the first nava-ratha plan temples in Odisha; originally the exterior would have been heavily adorned with sculpted images.
