    This mosque was built  in the 14th century by a wealthy merchant named  Nakhooda Mishkal. It is mainly build of wood. It is said that it does not have the typical tomb architecture, because the workers who built this mosque had only built temples and they had no idea how to build a mosque. This mosque is the finest ancient mosque. The surroundings is so peaceful that anyone can love it.

One of the beautiful structures of this mosque is that it is a four-story structure. It is mainly made of wood. Typically, it does not have any dome; it only has the indigenous architectural style of Kerala. This mosque Only has five Stories, and the top floor was destroyed by the portuguese attack in 1510. This mosque shows the amazing work of craftsmen of that time. It has a large prayer hall that can accommodate over a thousand worshippers. It is supported by 47 wooden pillers. It provides a calm space for prayers. It is a holy place. The doorway of this masjid is magnificent. The outside of the masjid is chaotic, but the inside is totally different.
