"Murguma Dam" in the heart of the Ajodhya hills

Murguma Dam is located in Begun Koder village panchayat of Jhalda block. The distance is about 55 kg from Purulia. It is being built close to the Murguma hamlet Purulia district, at the base of Ajodhya hills. It is a deep dam. The dam is surrounded by hills, forests, and a number of islands. Various types of plants and wildlife are found here with their natural beauty. It is known for its scenic beauty and recreational activities. Murguma Village: Murguma Village is known for its terracotta and pottery, a handicraft that is made by skilled artisans using traditional techniques. During festival time, the ancient art, handicrafts, and hand painting by the tribals on the mud walls.

Suicide point: A chasm suddenly sank into the hill of shal, teak, and Rahul surrounding alone. Reservoirs on three sides and occasional island-like expanses of green. Wind speed is strong here. There is a cloud breaking in danger. Accidents can happen at any moment. Hence, the mane is the suicide point. Naming has nothing to do with suicide.

Temple: Deulghat temple is near the Murguma Dam. The temple is decorated with wonderful architecture, which represents the ancient empire. There are many local temples beside this area.

Cuisine: It is a tribal area. The people of Murguma are very hospitable. They made their traditional sweets like Sandesh and Roshogolla, which are famous cuisines.

By Bus: Durgapur is the closest bus stop in Murguma. It is approximately 20- 30 km from Murguma. From Durgapur, you can easily reach Murguma.
