History

History of Ramgarh Tal in which bank Nauka Vihar situated has both Geographical and Religious (Pauranik) history. Geographical version is that many years ago the river Rafti used to flow here. Rafti river was the lifeblood of the area at that time. This river changed its pathway as changing its pathway is a common phenomenon of rivers. Then what remains is called Ramgarh Tal.

Religious (Pauranik) story is like there was a city called Ramgarh in the past. The king of that region destroyed a Shiva Linga Temple. Then by the curse of Lord Shiva the Ramgarh city goes under water. That’s why the water body is named Ramgarh Tal.

Nauka Vihar has a beautiful gate with eye-catching craft works on it. After entering into the premises first you can see the area where the light show presents in the evening. Then the flag which is the tallest flag of Uttar Pradesh. It is 246 feet or 73 meters long. This flag is shown from 15 kilometers away. On the way to the center of Nauka Vihar there is a bridge that is an example of artistic graffiti. It is a blending of modern and traditional art forms which conveys some message. And you will find some river related pictures also. This area is really photogenic.
