A section of the coastline has been designated as “Niladri beach” by the Puri district administration, which has also built recreational facilities and other infrastructure in an effort to draw tourists. To visit Niladri Beach, visitors must pay a user charge. The 500-meter beach that is situated between the Mayfair Hotel and Bankimuhan has also been given to a private organization by the administration to operate and maintain. An additional company has committed to sponsoring approximately Rs 40 lakh, which would be used for beach maintenance. At Niladri Beach, the administration has created a lawn, garden, amphitheater, desk chairs, beach houses, and sports equipment. For the kids, there are also a variety of recreational activities.
