It is said that there is history in every nook and corner of India. Etawah’s Pakka talab is no different. It is associated with the revolution of 1857 and ICS officer Mr. A.O. Hume, who was posted there at that time. Mr. Hume was an eminent ‘ornithology‘ and founding member of ‘The Indian National Congress. It is also said that Victoria Hall near the Talab was probably used as his residence or office back then. However, many people come here today for their morning jog or evening hangout.
