Panchakot Pahar is also known as Panchet Hill, which is situated in the Neturia Community Development block at the northeastern end of the Purulia district in West Bengal, India. The hill rises to a mount, and the height of the hill is about 490 meters or 1610 feet. It is also a part of the Chota Nagpur Plateau. At the foot of the hill, you will still find the wreckage part of the fort and the old palace of the Panchet Rajas. Here you will also find some ancient temples. In the 18th century, this area faced a Bargi attack, and that’s why it has historical significance. This attack causes the destruction of the palace, the fort, and also temples. Absolutely, It’s an ideal place for trekking or natural walking and explore historical structure.
