Parassini Madappura Sree Muthappan Temple is a unique temple located in Parassinikadavu in the Kannur district of Kerala. This Temple worshipped the goddess Muthappan, who was a combination of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. This Temple is open to all. The Temple is famous for its unique rituals, such as Theyyam Performance. The Theyyam performance is a combination of dance, music, and theatrical art that depicts the stories of deities. Devotees believe that the deity is pure; they think that Muthappan blesses them with protection and prosperity. Theyyam performances are performed daily in the Temple, one of the famous rituals. Unlike most Hindu Temples in Kerala, Parassini Muthappan Temple offers fish and toddy. The Temple is located on the banks of the Valapattanam River, which makes it more beautiful.
