Pilikula Nisargadhama (or Nisarga Dhama) is a multipurpose tourist attraction in Vamanjoor, in the eastern part of the city of Mangalore in Karnataka, managed by Dakshina Kannada District Government. It is a major tourist attraction of Mangalore. Due to the availability of several facilities, it attracts a large number of tourists.

The Pilikula Nisarga Dhama Society has developed this area to offer tranquility and scenic beauty. Pilikula has a huge lake surrounded by gardens. Swans and ducks swim in the lake and sometimes occupy the gardens. There are boating opportunities on the lake. couples prefer pedal boats; larger groups use motorboats that can carry 10-15 people.

History

The Pilikula Nisargadhama project started in 1996 to protect the environment and cultural heritage and to promote tourism. It has been an effort to develop this natural habitat that stretches over 370 hectares and turn it into a tourist spot. The tranquil natural setting here has always been a tourist attraction.
