    Located 15 km from Medak and 115 km from Hyderabad, Telangana, India, Pocharam Wildlife Sanctuary is a forest and wildlife sanctuary. For the visitors, it has an ecotourism center. With too many species of birds and mammals, it’s like shelter. From Nizamabad city, the sanctuary is situated at a distance of 100 km.

    In the districts of Nizamabad and Medak, spanning over 130 square kilometers, it was a former hunting ground of the Nizam. In the early 20th century, it was declared a wildlife sanctuary. Formed from the bunding of the Allair from 1916-1922, it is named after the Pocharam lake.

     By Air: To other major cities of the country, Nizamabad is not well connected via regular flights. At a distance of 140 km, the nearest airport is Begumpet airport in Hyderabad. From the airport, you can hire a cab or taxi to the palace.

    BY TRAIN: Like Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, Nizamabad is well connected with all major cities of India through the railway. From other major cities of the country, you can easily get regular trains to Nizamabad. The nearest railway station is the Nizamabad railway station.

    BY ROAD: From the bus stand, regular services of state roadways and privately owned buses of the city are available. With important cities and states, roads are also well connected. To reach your desired destination, you can also hire rented cars or taxis
