Attraction

Pratyusha Park is a nicely landscaped nature park, popular for all ages. A small collection of rabbits and swans is an extra attraction. A water body with paddling facilities is another exciting one. Good collection of seasonal flowers as well as lots of greenery attracts visitors every day.
It is a nice area for play games like badminton as well as playing slides round slides. This is why the kids feel attracted. You are getting a separate picnic area here. Otherwise, you can have your meal sitting in the restaurant. This place offers you a plethora of activities to do both as a kid and an adult.

History

Much historical information has not been found regarding Pratyusha Park. The park was constructed in 2014 and it is really a good place for recreation for the local residents. For years, this place has been a tourist as well as a picnic spot.

Inside/Outside Views

The park is reasonably well maintained, and an entry fee of 20 Rs per person will be provided at the entrance. The best time to visit is in the Winter (Dec – Mar) because in the winter the whole park is full of flowers and green leafy trees. The whole area is filled with a refreshing smell. There is a small restaurant and a food selling shop inside the park. Moreover, you can take a boat if you want a ride on the pond. During the rainy season, it feels awesome. A small area is also designed for children’s activities. You are allowed to bring your own food or even cook at the designated places inside the park making it a classic picnic. An adequate number of benches are placed around the pond so that people can sit comfortably. After January, flowers and loans start to dry out. And during the rainy season you can see the revival. The entry fee is 20 Rs per person. You have to pay an extra 20 Rs if you want to park your car.

How to Reach

By road: It is situated in Kharagpur’s ‘Keshiary’ area. From the busy area of Kharagpur, Pratyusha Park is only 25 to 30 km away. Kharagpur is well connected with other major cities like Siliguri, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Mumbai etc. of the country. And from Kharagpur city, you will get local transports to reach the site.

By air: The closest airport, ‘Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport’ (which is an international one), is almost 179 kilometers away from this area and is in Dum Dum, Kolkata. You can visit this place from outside of India. Apart from that, there are airports in Delhi, Mumbai, or Lucknow with direct flights to Kolkata. From the airport, you can easily get local transport to reach the site.

By train: The closest railway station from Pratyusha Park is only 32 km away at the ‘Kharagpur Railway Station.’ This station is well connected with major areas of the country. From the station, you will get local transport so that you can reach the site.
