The leftovers of medieval shipping industries can still be seen surrounding the beach. It is relatively quite smaller than the other beaches in Kerala, covering half of a kilometer in length. Nevertheless, it welcomes visitors with its tranquil calm atmosphere and jovial surroundings.

    How to Reach

    By road: Kochi is well connected by buses. You can use the bus to transport from anywhere to everywhere. Therefore, you’ll get bus services easily to Puthenthode Beach from the city center. The beach has a distance of nearly 15 kilometers from the city center of Kochi and may not be more than an hour of bus journey. Besides, you can also hire a taxi to enjoy an extra bit of comfort and privacy.

    By air: The beach is located 30+ kilometers away from Cochin International Airport which is also the nearest Airport to the beach. Both buses and Taxis are always available to take tourists towards different tourists’ spots.

    By train: The South Ernakulam Junction is the nearest railway station to the beach. The distance is nearly 15 kilometers. You can take a local train to Edappally from South Ernakulam Junction to go to the beach or you can take local buses or taxis which are always available. If you are from outside India, you should take a bus or taxi which is less hectic. Whatever, the South Ernakulam Junction is connected with almost every other big city in India.
