Rail Museum, Gorakhpur

Many interesting things are there to see inside the museum. The train engine of 1874 is housed here. Old steam engines and coal engines will also be seen. A unique road roller or steam roller coaster is seen. An old engine named Lord Lawrence which was brought to India from England during the British period.

A toy train with a complete rail platform and rail line is available there. You can ride the train at a very cheap rate. The best thing about this toy train is it covers the full area of the Rail Museum. In the way of this toy train bridge, tunnel and platform are made. That makes this journey of toy trains very interesting. There is a rail museum where a huge collection of photos is placed. These photos present the changes of Indian rail from the British period. It provides a complete idea about rail to children as well as adults who do not know about it. This museum also placed bricks from different years like 1900,1901, 1905,1910. Railway symbols of different states of India are there in the museum. Old railway cameras, sound projectors, scanners, searchlights, and other things for driving a train were placed there. A unique restaurant exists in the place that looks like a rail, but actually, it’s a restaurant. Different kinds of foods are available in that restaurant. Pictures of ancient places hang inside the restaurant, which provides information about beautiful India. Chawkider, Porter, Nurse, Hangman, and others who worked for the railway had their statues made and placed there. You will absolutely like the lighting there.
