    History

    This great palace is a 17th-century monument. This was Built about 350 years ago. The king of the 5th Chauhan Ruler of Sambalpur Baliyar Singh built it. He gifted this palace to his loving daughter Jema Dei. The palace has 16 rooms and it is a three-stored palace. This is the Only palace in Odisha which is also 350 years old and still Standing with all Its glory.

    The view of this place is amazing. Because of the lack of maintenance, it is losing its beauty day by day. This place includes one of These structures that has survived till now. The palace has 16 rooms, 7 rooms on the ground and the first floor, and the rest of the 2  rooms are on the top floors. Day by day, The walls and the ceilings are broken and the designs of these walls are turning black. Some rooms are collapsing. All of the palace and the rooms are turning wild jungle. All these wild plants and trees are growing all over the palace. Some poisonous creatures are living in them. Whenever you visit this place, you may get lost in history. Every room of this palace tells a story. The Government says that all these palaces are developed with a tourism center or park. If they can’t take any proper action, there is nothing left to visit or renovate.
