    History

    The Black Buck Roaming around in Rajaji National Park.

    This park was founded in the year 1983 by merging three sanctuaries named Rajaji, Chilla, and Motichur. After the name of well-known statesman and freedom fighters Sri C.Rajgopalachariya. He was popular as Rajaji and he was the first and last Governor-General of independent India.

    This park is enriched with a variety of wildlife such as Tigers, Elephants, Leopards, goals, deer, and so on. It’s known for 23 species of mammals and 315 species of birds, attracting a large number of wildlife enthusiasts in its eco-friendly wilderness area and birds such as great hornbill, northern goshawk, great scaup, white-naped, and more are nestled in this park.

    The trail through these forests goes through thick forests and offers a range of birds across the area of 40 km and people can choose to go birding around many forest rest houses.

    This place is well maintained and so beautiful and surrounded by many trees.
