Centuries ago, people believed that Rama was born at the site where Ram Mandir stands today, making its history old. Here was the Ayodhya kingdom, which geologists later proved. However, the Mughal emperor Babur destroyed the temple and established a mosque here in the 16th century. Later, this mosque came to be known as Babar Mosque. This communal strife continues over this place. The place turned into a lot of arguments. The matter has been brought to court many times. But finally, the trial in favor of Ram Mandir came in 2019. Geologists have proven that there was an underground Ram temple in the past. The workers resumed construction on the temple and finished it in 2024.
