    In the year of  1929, Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Kailashahar, was started, and in 2015, made a branch of the Mission.  It has been recognized as ‘Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama’ since then.

    People Spending time in Ramakrishna Mission Ashram For boys, there is a student home. Besides, a medical camp, and a blood donation camp, a weekly dispensary is also placed here. Welfare activities are there also for the needy people, by way of distributing winter garments and blankets. Moreover, religious activities as the celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, daily prayers, occasional discourses, and most importantly the celebration of Durga puja and Kali puja, besides, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda.

    History

    Historical Place in Ramakrishna Mission Ashram Adjacent to the Thakur Ghar, a cottage was built since then and started running a Boarding Hostel with two students for Secretary, a room was allotted, to Brajendra Babu for whole-time supervision. To spread education among the uneducated people and to preach the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, was the main aim of the ashram. According to their ideals among the people of undeveloped Tripura, Maa Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda for building a value-based life.

    In the Indian state of Tripura at Kailashahar, in 1929, the first Ramakrishna Ashrama was established. Being initiated by Swami Sivananda and inspired by his teacher Swami Ashokananda, a young boy named Brajendra Deb Gupta came to kailashahar to preach the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, uneducated, undeveloped Tripura, Maa Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda among the youths of economically backward, down-trodden. The then Headmaster of R.K.Institution Lt. Kunjalal Chatterjee, a direct disciple of Sri Maa Sarada Devi and also a close friend and classmate of Swami Kailasanandaji and some other education-loving people of Kailashahar assisted the boy in his mission. On the eastern bank of river Manu, located at Gobindapur(West), Kailashahar in the year June 1929, the first Ramakrishna Ashrama in Tripura was established with their good effort

    How to Reach

    By Air: In the state capital Agartala, The nearest airport to Kailashahar is Singerbhil. From the airport, there are direct buses and taxis available to reach Kailashahar. The airport at Agartala is well connected to the other cities of the country. A tourist can easily reach his desired place using cabs or taxis.

    By Rail: As trains don’t reach Kailashahar, Kumarghat is the nearest railway station. Kumarghat is 27 kilometers away from Kailashahar and it takes about 50 minutes by road. Some trains pass Kumarghat which connects one to the rest of the country. You can take taxis or cabs to reach your desired place.

    By Road: Kailashahar is connected to the rest of the country through National Highway 44. It is directly connected to the capital, Agartala. Many means of transpiration can be used to reach Kailashahar. Some of the common ways of traveling are State transport buses and private taxis. A tourist can take taxis or cabs to reach his desired place.
