History

Regional Museum of Natural History is managed by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, India’s government. Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. This museum has an impressive collection of plants, insects, skeletons of extinct and rare animals, photographs, and related samples from across the globe on display. It has also showcased the biodiversity of different regions of the state. In 2017, in the month of May, this museum became the first museum in the country to successfully generate green Energy through its rooftop solar power system.

In this museum, you can see the skeletons of whales, sharks, elephants, and other amazing creatures. Many unique marine fishes, birds, and snakes are kept in ethylene.
