There are many hot springs in Sikkim, but the most well-known is the Reshi Hot Spring because of its advantageous position and religious significance. These Reshi hot springs, also known as Cha-chu, are remnants of an ancient winter spa culture. Pilgrims and guests would submerge themselves in the waters for up to a week, believing them to have therapeutic qualities. The spring is conveniently located immediately after an hour-long trip downhill toward the Rangit River valley. For the comfort of the visitors, there are inexpensive, temporary shelters without bedding or cooking utensils that are provided for an overnight stay. Vegetables and other necessities are sold at neighborhood small businesses. Known alternatively as “the cave of occult fairies,” Adjacent to the river lies a holy cave and a little monastery called Lho Khandro Sang Phug. Owing to the existence of this cave, the Reshi Hot Springs’ water is revered, and taking a warm bath there is claimed to be an excellent way to treat any skin condition. The water’s temperature is ideal for treating it to combat the chilly air because of the abundance of sulfur in it. This is also an ideal location for hiking, followed by a soothing springtime bath. In addition, you can take a ton of pictures there and have an amazing trip.
