This temple is decorated nicely and is maintained well. The main entrance to the temple complex is a long two-storey structure and has a big East facing arch gateway. The temple has nine spires, or ‘Navaratnas‘ as they are called locally. It is considered to be the first ‘Nabaratna’ temple of the undivided Bengal, and that’s why this temple is so famous.
