    Shree Gupteswar Temple Kokalaba is one of the holiest temples in Jeypore. This temple is situated about 55 km from Awar Jeypore, Koraput district, Odisha, India. The main attraction of this temple is the gigantic Shiva Linga, which is said to be increasing in size. This temple is so powerful that you wanna visit there more and more.     Shree Gupteswar Temple Kokalaba is a city shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a limestone cave, and its main attraction is the gigantic Shiva Linga, which is said to be increasing in size. Pilgrims from all over the country came here during the Sravana period because, at that time,  the yearly Bol Ram yatra was held at this place, which is so beautiful. Devotees walk to the Gupteshwar during Bol Bam yatra to bathe in the maha kund and then chant near the Shiva Linga. And thats the main attraction of this temple. As this temple is dedicated to lord shiva. You can feel the presence of lord shiva after visiting this temple. The powerful presence of lord shiva is another level of experience.

    Shree Gupteswar Temple Kokalaba is dedicated to lord shiva.
    It is believed that the cave was discovered by lord Ram. This temple was discovered in the reign of Maharajah Veer Vikram Dev. The cave is visited by devotees in the holy month of Shravan, who walk to the shrine bare-footed with decorated bamboo palanquins called “Kanwadiya” and they have to bathe in the maha kund before worshipping Lord Gupteshwar. There are almost 200 steps to reach the Shiva Linga temple. Its entrance is about 3 meters wide and 2 meters high. Shiva. Lord Shiva is Shambho here means appears self, the natural one lingam

    Shree Gupteswar Temple Kokalaba is a Nice holy place for pilgrimage. The alternate routes are a bit longer, 15-20 km, but a bit better, though narrow. This temple is very old, and local people have a lot of faith. The river Swarnaganga flows on the foothill. You have to climb up approx 100 steps, and then you see the Shiva Lina. It’s really a breathtaking experience to go inside and explore caves as there will be no lights inside the cave. a Rocky Stream of Great Scenic Beauty Flows by Gupteswar. It is believed that Lord Rama when passed through this region. You must visit this temple in the morning because the temple is risky because of the sundown in the evening.
