Shri Bhuteshwar Temple is a well-known Shiva temple cum residence situated in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Lord Shiva is an acquainting god according to Hindu scripture. Devotees visit the temple to get the blessings of Shiva. This temple is called one of the illustrious “Siddha Peeth” of Saharanpur. It’s a highly recommended place to visit.

Attraction

Basically people visit this place for its religious value. Devotees gather in the temple on special days. In the monsoon season, there are carnivals twice a year, which are really attractive.

The new Bhuteshwar Temple is also very close to the Shri Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple. You can make a visit to this new temple altogether. This new temple helds Mata Saraswati Devi idol, Bazrangbali idol, Ram-Laxmam-Sita idol, Radha-Krishna idol and Jagadhatri idol. All those idols look very enchanting. If you don’t like noise and want to spend some peaceful time. Then this temple is really recommended for you as the ambiance of the temple is calm. Twittering of birds shoots your ear as well as your mind and brain.

History

According to some local stories, the Shiva Linga which worshiped in that temple originated by itself from the ground. It is believed that Lord Shiva visits the temple and is there to give the blessings to his venerators.

This is a 50 year old temple built by locals. And the perimeter of the temple is increasing day by day. This temple was built first during Maratha rules. Then, locals renovated it later.

Inside/Outside Views

Shri Bhuteshwar Temple is adjacent to the road. At the very first a white idol of Vingri Moharaj is seen in the temple premises. The architecture of the temple is in modern style with three peaks (one bigger and another two smaller comparatively). Two lion statues can be seen besides the main temple door.

A Shiva Linga set inside the main temple with Vasuki Nag and Vingri Moharaj. Due to Covid-19, provision of water on the Shiva Linga from outside has been made. There are also idols of Hanumanji and Radha-Krishna idols in the beside room.
