Sikia Jhora is a river stream flowing through the wet, dense Forest of Buxa Tiger Reserve. Sikia Jhora, located in the Dooars region of the Alipurduar district, remains hidden and untouched by many. Sikia Jhora, the less trodden place, is situated in a serene and least populated area of the Buxa. Tourists enjoy boat safaris at the river stream enclosed by the dense forest of Buxa. Tourists also call the Sukia Jhora water stream, which is covered by forests, mini Sundarban, and the locals say tigers are sometimes seen by the corners of the stream. The river flows down near the forest area with the branches of the trees lining the river. The branches of the tall trees bend down over the river. The low branches over the river transform the area into dark, not allowing the sunlight to enter through them. The locals of the area take the tourists on boat safaris into the river Sikia Jhora. Tourists come here to experience boat rides, and some even name it a mini Amazon. Animals are leopards, tigers, gangs of elephants, deer, and so on. The animals make their way to the river to drink water. Moreover, snakes can be seen swimming in the river waters, mostly during the rainy seasons.
