This is the biggest church in the state. It has been attracting travelers for an extended period of time. The church is constructed in order to spread the love of Jesus Christ

    Located in the forest region the magnanimous church held its inaugural ceremony lately and witnessed hundreds of people arriving here from different parts of the world.

    The white marvel Solomon’s Temple was made by the efforts of Kohhran Thianghlim, a non-denominational Christian group. In 1996 the foundation stone of the church was laid. This church has a seating capacity of 3,000 people. The construction started in 1997, but it took almost two decades to materialize the structure. Dr. L. B. Sailo was the architectural designer of the temple who claims that he dreamt about this church in 1991. He said, “God has shown me Solomon’s Temple in my dreams. I had never thought of Solomon’s temple before, nor had any dream of constructing it, but when I saw it in my goals in 1991, as soon as I woke up, I wrote down the temple as I saw it in my dream”.

    Solomon’s temple is totally encircled by foliage on the western outskirts of Aizawl. It is 3,025 square meters in size and contains four towers, each with a crown. Each side of the Temple is 180 ft. in length, and the inner hall is 120 ft. on all four sides and has a capacity of seating 3,000 people and 10,000 people on the patio. The Stars of David have been imprinted on the four pillars on the borders of the church. Each of the sides has a verandah which is around 30 feet. The temple is square in shape itself. It was built with Busleara marble on the outer wall and the floorings were done with red sandstone.

    On the altar, there is an image of Jesus of Nazareth on the cross. The church is beautifully decorated with artifacts. The church holds great significance among the local people.

    By air: The nearest airport to Solomon’s Temple is the Lengpui Airport. It is well connected with the other major cities of the country. After reaching the airport you can hire any local transport to reach the church. 

    By train: Situated at a distance of 120 km the Bhairabi Railway Station is the nearest railway station to the Aizawl. It is well connected with the other major cities of the country. 

    By bus: Aizawl has a well-constructed road service. You can go there by bus also. The nearest bus stand to this place is the Ramhlun bus stop. You can hire any local transport from there to reach your destination.
