Sree Peralassery Temple is a holy place for Hindu devotees. The temple is located in the Kannur district of Kerala and is a famous pilgrim center. The main deity of the temple is Subramanya. Deity Subramanya is worshipped in the temple. One of the famous rituals of the temple is snake worship. Hen’s eggs are the main offerings of the temple. Kodiyettam, the annual festival of the temple, is held here. Traditional art forms like Thayambaka, Irattathayambaka, Chakyarkoothu, Pattakam Ottan Thullal, and Kathakali are performed in the temple during festival seasons. There is a pond in the temple where all devotees take holy baths before going to the temple. The pond is rectangular, depicting the architectural work. The Temple opens early in the morning and the evening, and at noon, it remains closed for some time.
