King Vikramaditya built the Ram temple on Ram ki Paidi 2000 years ago after restoring the Kaleram temple. In 1528 A.D.Babur invaded and fought a holy being named Shyamanand Saraswati. Shyamanand saved an idol from the Mughals and threw it in the Saryu River. The idol stayed there for 220 years. at 1748 A.D. A Brahmin from Maharashtra found it while bathing and brought it to the Kale Ram temple.
