    The St. Francis Xavier Church is a marvel of architecture.  This significant monument is located in Subhash Chowk in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, India. It was built in 1894. This historical structure symbolizes the true essence of Christianity. It was founded by the Army officers and civilians to form a parish in the beautiful Hill station of Dalhousie of their own.  It has seen various ups and downs. It is not just a church but a historical monument of the city which carries great significance. And also it is a pilgrim sight. Which attracts tourists a lot.

    St. Francis Church

    Built in 1894 by the Army and Civil Officers and civilians the St. Francis Church is a beautiful creation of architecture. The interior of this church is eye-catching. The church has been maintained and regulated by the Catholic Diocese of Jalandhar since that time. The structure of the church is kind of typical British architecture. And it carries a resemblance to many famous churches in England.

    The Church is surrounded by tall deodar trees. On the premises of this church, there is a beautifully maintained garden. Though it has a shrinking congregation, the church authorities are doing a fine job. Through several paintings & sculptures along the path leading to the church, the final journey and resurrection of Jesus have been shown beautifully. 

    The church is made of stone with wooden beams. It is a great example of glass and stone work also. It is one one the main attractions, one must visit it when they are in Dalhousie.

    By road: Chamba is well connected with the other cities of the country by roadway. So, if you want you can go there by roadway.
