The area of sultanpr is amazing. There is a history behind this place. Actually, This name of Sultanpr has taken the descendant of Harsh Dev Chauhan, Sultan Singh. Most of the village has been occupied by Him. Besides apart from political history, Honorary Secretary of Delhi Bird Watching Society and ornithologist Mr. Peter Jackson was the first time person who noticed the area as a sanctuary. Then, in 1970, he wrote a letter to the prime minister of Delhi Indira Gandhi to request her to declare the land a bird Sanctuary. Followed the instructions of the Prime Minister the chief minister of Haryana in 1972 to protect the area of Sultanpur Lake After 20 years later, the sultanpr Bird Reserve was established. In 1989 the area was upgraded as a national park. This area is about 1.43 sq km, Which has 250 species of birds, and they revived using an artificial water pump from the Yamma River. After paying significant efforts to create this park, this park is named Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, He is a naturalist and Indian ornithologist.
