History

The son of raja Jhujhar Singh, named Prince Dhurbhajan had fallen in deep love with a girl from a Muslim family. After facing so many problems from his family, he resorted to deep meditation and religious prayers to find peace of mind and soul. Even he left the imperial palace and started leading the life of a hermit.

After the successful marriage, He constructed the magnificent structure of Sunder Mahal. The native Muslim population started worshipping of the Prince and his residence turned into a sacred shrine among the followers. Even Till today devotees from the Muslim religion visit Sunder Mahal to seek divine blessings and eternal happiness from the revered soul of Prince.
