History

There is a history behind this place. It is one of the sacred places in the town and has some mythological connections as well. It is believed that Karna gifted his Kawach to Lord Krishna at this place. The park also has a historical pond built by a merchant named Lawer Jawaharlal in 1714. A park is needed for every town. The whole view of this park is quite good. Inside this park is a historical pond that gets water from the Ganga Canel. According to mythology, it is the place where Karna donates his Kawach to Lord Krishna.
