    Susanta Ray Wax Museum is a museum made by the artist Susanta Ray. The museum displays lifelike wax statues of famous personalities from different fields, such as sports, entertainment, and politics.  Ray tried to create a realistic representation of notable personalities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Mahatma Gandhi, and Sushant Singh Rajput. On the other hand, Seesh Mahal is another notable work of Ray. It is well-known for its excellent glasswork and reflections. It is also called a palace of mirrors.     History

    A famous Indian artist, Susanta Ray, built the museum. Being inspired by the famous Madame Tussauds,  he tried to create lifelike wax statues of famous personalities from different fields like politics, entertainment, and also sports. Here you can find the figures of Amitabh Bachchan, Mahatma Gandhi, and Sushant Singh Rajput. Sheesh Mahal is also another creation of Susanta Ray.  It is known as the Palace of Mirrors. He was inspired by the original Seesh Mahal of Rajasthan, and he tried to duplicate the glasswork and mirror designs. It took 13 years to build the Mahal. It stands as a testament to Ray’s craftsmanship and artistry. It gives you a mesmerizing visual effect. A must visit place in Asansol.

    By Air: Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (RDP)is the nearest airport to the place. It is only 35 km away from the place. From here, you have to take a taxi or cab to get there.

    By Train: Asansol Junction Railway Station is the closest station to the place. It is only 5 km away from the museum. From here you have to hire a taxi or cab to get there very easily. 

    By Bus: The museum is located near Asansol Bus Stand. So, from the bus stand, you can take any local transport to reach the place within a short time.
