Taj-Ul-Masjid is one of the biggest masjids in Asia. This Masjid is famous for its history and architectural design of this masjid. This masjid is near about 250,000 sq ft area and this masjid is Indo-Islamic architecture and Mughal Architecture style.

History

This Masjid construction was started by Nawab Shah Jahan Begum of Bhopal and the exact year construction was started is unclear, Sharma estimated it to be 1871. This Masjid continued to be built by Sultan Jahan Begum till the end of her life after Shah Jahan Begum died in 1901.

Until 1971 the mosque was not completed due to a lack of funds and constituted did not resume.

Inside/Outside Views

The meaning of this Masjid is The Crown Of Mosques. This Masjid has three domes and two minarets. This masjid has a huge open area and the three-domed structures of the prayer area looked quite similar so much. The overall design might have been inspired by Jama Masjid and Badshahi Masjid in Lahore.

On the outside, this place is covered with many many beautiful trees and that looks so beautiful.
