    Tarey Bhir Entry Point located on the small hamlet near Sadam in Namchi district of South Sikkim in India. It is situated 14 kilometers from Meilly and 16 kilometers from Namchi. The word Tarey Bhir means Cliff according to Nepalese language. It is situated at an altitude of 35,000 feet. Visitors experience a wonderful walk through the beautiful hilltop road here.     Tarey Bhir Entry Point has a long and narrow cliff which is about 10,000 feet long and quite steep with stone-paved pathways leading to the end of the ridge which is the main attraction of this place. This viewpoint provides a mesmerizing panoramic view of the surrounding peaks along with the Kanchanjangha, the valley and the Teesta river.
    Though it is a place with serene beauty, it is not over crowded because of its offbeat location. So visitors can enjoy ultimate peace here.

    Tarey Bhir Entry Point is comparatively young to the other historical sites of India.     Inside/Outside Views

    At the right side of Tarey Bhir Entry Point collaboration of peaks and Teesta river and at the left side Kanchanjungha which is covered with snow with the northern peaks of Sikkim are noticed. At a distance Kalimpong is seen. A 4 kilometers route is constructed which is interspersed with stairs. It looks like the Great Wall of China.

This airport is also a domestic airport and connected to the nearest international airport being Kolkata in West Bengal. From Namchi, Tarey Bhir Entry Point is about 16 kilometers. Hire a taxi or book a cap to reach there from Namchi. Now Sikkim has its own airport – Pakyong airport. You can also go by this airport.

    By Train: New Jalpaiguri in Siliguri, West Bengal, is the nearest railway station to reach Tarey Bhir Entry Point. It is around 96 kilometers from Namchi.
