In memory of those Martyrs, the memorial was built like a supta structure in the center of local Buddhists’ religious practices. There is also a separate memorial dedicated to Subedar Joginder Singh. He was awarded the Param Vir Chakra. He all alone fought with the Chinese soldiers for 72 hours during the India-China war.
