    It is a very beautiful park. Tenneti park is one of the tourist attractions of Visakhapatnam. It is also known as an urban park. This park is located on Beach Road in jodugullapalem and it looks out to the Bay of Bengal. It is the first children’s park and one of the oldest parks in the city.

    The main attraction of Tenneti Beach Park is the wonderful location and its beauty of it. The beautiful view, the crystal clear water of the sea from the park or stare at the lush green foliage and mountains around the park. Tourists can also make their way to the Kailasagiri Hills which are located just behind the park. You can also go for a toy train ride around the natural sceneries and jungles of the nearby hill.

    Besides, You can also view the sunset or the sunrise from the top of the hill behind the park. The unique thing about the park is the isolation and tranquillity of the place, so Most people visit the park just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and to stroll along the park walkways to forget about their worries.     The park is named after Tenetti Viswanadham who is a well-known political figure of Visakhapatnam and also he is a freedom fighter.

A statue of the politician was installed on the park premises. which can be seen as soon as you enter through the gate of Tenneti Beach Park.is a well-developed park. This park was destroyed by cyclone Hudhud which flew through the city. Gautam Alumni of North America came together and donated around 60 lakh rupees to renovate the park. The park was thus renovated to international standards and the greenery along the coastline was restored to its former glory.

    The quaint yellow gate past the parking lot shouldn’t confuse you about the huge expanse of the area within the park. The pathways lead into the park and head down towards the sea.

The huge circular rock structure at the center of the park adds to the charm of the place. There is a flight of stairs that leads down straight to the beach, where you can enjoy picturesque sunsets and strong waves from the beach of Tenneti Park.

    This location has also been used for several Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Oriya film shoots. This place is very well maintained.

    By Air: Kailasagiri is just 26 km from Visakhapatnam. On the other hand, Visakhapatnam is very well-networked with the major cities of India and various international countries by air. Visakhapatnam has its own international airport and it’s around 8 km from the city center. From here a number of reputed domestic and foreign carriers conduct their services. Air India, SpiceJet, IndiGo, Air Costa, and Jet Aircraft provide regular flights for Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Tirupati, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. There are also two airline providers, Malindo and Silkair, from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Taxi, cabs or buses are available from the airport.

    By Train: Visakhapatnam has its own railway station and it’s called ‘Visakhapatnam Junction. It’s just about 12 km away from the city center. This railway junction is well-connected to many other major cities of India like New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, etc. Janmbhoomi Express, Samta Express, Konark Express, East Coast Express, and Prasanthi Express are some of the best trains for Visakhapatnam. If you want to reach VMRDA Kailasagiri by train, then you’ve to reach ‘Visakhapatnam Junction first. Buses and taxis are available from the railway station, so you can easily reach your preferred destinations.

    By Road: Visakhapatnam is very well-connected to many small towns and cities by road. Several state and private buses are available from different cities like Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Kolkata, Vijayawada, and Puri. Super deluxe, A/C, non-A/C, and sleeper buses are also available. You can take buses, taxis or cabs to reach VMRDA Kailasagiri as it’s only 26 km away from the city center.
