The island is 11 kilometers long.  From the western side, measuring about 6 kilometers across the two entrances. The sandy beach along with the gentle breeze is considered to be one of the most picturesque beaches in Lakshadweep. The famous lighthouse out there is one of the oldest in India which was constructed in 1885. This beach has recently made a proud entrance to the list of ‘Blue Beaches’ that refers to an eco-label status along with one of the cleanest beaches in the world.

    For swimmers, the beach is one of the most heavenly places on earth. Not just for the eco-friendly environment but the beaches have bathing huts and changing rooms. Apart from walking and swimming, the beach offers some other activities such as pedal boating, sunbathing, fishing, kayaking and sailing, and many more.     How to Reach

    There are two ways to visit Lakshadweep. For both ways, one must go through a ‘Sports’ organization that is
    By air: The nearby airport of Thundi Beach is ‘Agatti Airport‘. Which is approximately 300 kilometers away from Thundi beach. This is the only airport in Lakshadweep.  It Is well connected with other areas of the country. From the airport, tourists can hire any local transport to reach the destination.
    By Ship: Tourists can visit Thundi Beach via a ship that comes over the Indian Ocean, the Arab Sea, and the Bay of Bengal. Their serene beauty will certainly blow your mind. But as expected, the ship journey will be exciting and time-consuming at the same time.
