Unniyal Beach is a magnificent fine sand beach that has been untouched lately. It is blindingly white on bright sunny days and eye-catching, adorned with a sea wall constructed of pebbles and shrouded by tall coconut trees leaning toward the ocean. The most distinctive feature of Unniyal Beach is its length, which spans more than a kilometer parallel to a driving road, with slanting coconut trees viewing the sea. Unniyal is a coastal offshoot of Tirur town, 5 kilometers from the beach. Unniyal Beach was relatively unknown to the general population until YouTube vloggers and other social media influencers shared their trip experiences via videos and reels, which drew a lot of interest from locals. Families and young people go to the beach, especially in the evening, as the tropical wind relieves mental stress. Unniyal Beach is too long, so there are more opportunities for families and children to explore and relax. Unniyal Beach is a safer and cleaner beach with easy access via road and railway networks. It is located on the famed Tipu Sultan route that runs through the coastal Malappuram district. Tirur Railway Station, Kerala’s first, is located 5 kilometers from Unniyal. Elderly and physically challenged persons are especially welcome here since the parallel beach road provides a great view of the beach and sea air without requiring them to leave their vehicles.
