Vindhyavasini Park - One of the biggest parks in Gorakhpur

Vindhyavasini Park, which is also called V-Park it is named as Hanuman Prasad Pattar Rajakia Uddyan, now-a-days. It is one of the biggest parks of Gorakhpur and it’s a hot-spot of the city. This is the best place for family gatherings and couples gatherings. People also visit the park for morning walk, evening walks.

Attraction

This park is the best place for those who love nature. You can enjoy the beauty of the rose garden, which has thirty types of roses. In the winter season, this garden becomes full of roses which look really amazing.

Forty type of abolished and moribund plants are available in the park. If you are a plant lover then this is a lovely nursery for you. In the morning, walking on the grass, which seems like green velvet, is like heaven. It’s also good for the brain and eye. In the monsoon, the freshness of the plants and trees increases, and the green color becomes more intense. Enjoying rain in that place is an incredible experience. It provides you with a Switzerland-like vibe. The sunrise from behind the tree is phenomenal. A different kind of sunshine is seen from here. Inside/Outside Views

It has two entrance points or entry gates. First one is from the Nauka Bihar side and the other one is from the Rail Museum side. There is parking convenience in the gate. As soon as you enter from the gate, first you can see a Ganesha idol on the left side. According to Hindu religious belief, Darshan of Ganesha at the beginning of the day is considered auspicious. So visiting this park in the morning is beneficial for many purposes.

This whole park is divided into four parts. First of all a module or little model of V-Park is seen. An ancient Vishnu idol made out of stone which belongs to 320-500 AD is kept here. This kind of cultural and old scenery is lovely. There are many small parks in the park. On the roof of the dome-shaped little building, you can have a very peaceful time or just sit there with a book, as this place is perfect for reading books.

In the middle of the park, lines of palm trees look beautiful. The Three Green Parks of the Vindhyavasini Park are the most celebrated. In the morning, people walk here and boys play football. There are also gym elements for exercise and dozens of swings for children. This is the only place in Gorakhpur where an open air gym exists. Here you will also find a fountain which looks really nice. The park also has a Yoga center. Yoga sessions are also held there in the morning which are completely free. A Badminton Court is situated in the park. Go with your necessary things for playing badminton and start playing.

Try to make a visit in monsoon as then the trees and plants become more fresh and green.
Book the swing at first because there always creates gatherings in the morning. So it becomes difficult to get the swing sometimes.
Buy plants in the park nursery because many moribund and abolished plants are available there.
