Andhra Pradesh is one of the 29 states of India which is located in the Southern part of peninsular India and it started its journey from 1 November 1956. Though the city Hyderabad is its capital for 10 years but recently the city Amaravati is proposed as the new capital. The area of AP is 160,205km^2.
The North part of AP, it’s bordered by Chhattisgarh, Orissa, and Telangana. On the West side of Karnataka, in south Tamil Nadu, and in the East it’s bordered by the Bay of Bengal.
Language
The official language of Andhra Pradesh is Telugu. Besides it, English, Hindi/Urdu, Tamil, Kannada, and Oriya languages are also commonly spoken.
The peoples of Andhra Pradesh are highly diverse because of the large number of migrated people. From the 2011 census, it has 49, 386, 799 inhabitants which is ranked as the tenth most populous state.
Andhra Pradesh has started its journey from ancient times. At the very first it witnessed the rule of Chandragupta Maurya during which it was established as an independent kingdom. During the 12th and 13th centuries there came the Kakatiya dynasty who were the feudatories of the western Chalukyas. At a later time, Warangal was taken by Musunuri Nayaks from the Delhi Sultan and ruled for fifty years. In the history of Andhra Pradesh, the Vijaynagar Empire is counted as the greatest empire.
In 1347 CE, an independent Muslim state named Bahmani was established in South India by Alla-ud-din-hasan Gangu as a revolt against the Delhi Sultan. With that regard in 1518 the sultan Qili Qutub Shah declared himself independent and founded the Qutub Shah Dynasty, which existed till 1687. At last Andhra Pradesh connected with the Telangana region of Hyderabad state as the state of Andhra Pradesh which consisted of Telugu speaking people on November 1, 1956.
The great Andhra Pradesh has a treasury of culture, especially it is internationally renowned for its Carnatic music. Their traditional home is the land between the Godavari and Krishna rivers in southeastern India. They have celebrated several annual festivals like Makar Sankranti, Sri Rama Navami, Ugadi, Maha Shivratri, Varalaxmi Vratam, Vinayaka Chavithi, Dasara, Atla Tadde Deepavali Deepothsavam, etc.
Ugadi which is considered as a festival of New Year which takes place in March/April.
They are also very famous for textiles like cotton and silk. They developed dying printing weaving for getting better textile products in ancient times. Basically Hindu and Christian women wear saree blouses and men wear Dhoti and Kurta. But Muslim men generally wear pajamas and the Fez cap and women like to wear salwar kameez.
One of the heart-touching traditions of them regarding the warriors of the battlefield who sacrificed their lives in the battlefield is worshipped like a god. Stone pillars named Viragallulu are found all over Andhra Pradesh as their symbol of bravery.

The name of International carriers is Air India, Emirates, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Oman, Air, Qatar Airway, Saudi Arabians Air lines, Singapore Airlines, Srilankan Airlines, and Thai Airways.
Some Domestic flights are GoAir, IndiGo, Jet Airways, JetLite, Kingfisher, Paramount, and Spicejet.
The other domestic airports in Andhra Pradesh are at Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, and Tirupati
By Train: It has its own Railway station named as West Godavari Railway Station which is connected to all the major cities of Andhra Pradesh
