The district of Hazaribagh is a part of the Chotanagpur plateau. This space is packed with many plateaus, mountains, and valleys. There are 3 natural divisions of this district – Medium highland, Lower Plateau, and Damodar vale. The district headquarter is a part of the medium plateau, which is settled at the peak of concerning 2,000 linear unit from the ocean level. Except for the western part of the medium plateau, the full area is encircled by the lower plateau. the peak of the lower plateau is about 1,300 ft higher than
the sea level. Damodar Valley is within the southern part of this district wherever Ramgarh city is settled that is concerning 1,000 linear unit below the district’s headquarter.
