Warangal is a famous city in the southern Indian state of Telangana. It was the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty and many intricately carved monuments of this period are still visible. Among them are the ruins of the 13th-century Warangal Fort and the Thousand Pillar Temple built in 1163. Also, the Bhadrakali temple built on a lake dates back to the 7th century and is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. Whatever, various tourist places have made it a very popular city.

By Road: Warangal is well-connected to the various cities and towns of Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh. Hanamkonda is the major bus stop from where one can get buses for various cities outside this place. Hanamkonda is a suburb of Warangal located between Warangal and Kazipet. The government bus services of TSRTC and APSRTC (Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) have AC, Volvo, Deluxe, and ordinary buses to various cities. TSRTC has buses for Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Bhadrachalam, Guntur, and Suryapet. APSRTC has buses from Warangal to various cities within Andhra Pradesh, namely Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Vishakhapatnam (Vizag).

By Train: Warangal city has two railway stations, Warangal Railway Station and Kazipet Railway Junction for rail connectivity with the rest of the country. These two railway stations are well-connected with many other major cities. Kazipet is a suburb located on the opposite side of Warangal city. Both stations come under the Secunderabad Division of the South Central Railways. Anandvan Express for Mumbai, Grand Trunk Express for Delhi, Kongu Express for Bangalore, East coast Express for Kolkata, and Tamil Nadu Express for Chennai are the trains to the metro cities in India. There are trains for Jharkhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh from Warangal Railway Station. Taxis & cabs are available from the railway station to reach the preferred destination.

By Air: The nearest airport is the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. This airport is at Hyderabad located 160 km away from Warangal. The airport is well-connected by flights to Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and others. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or cab to reach your preferred destination.
