    History

    Alarnatha mandira

There is a great connection between the temple with the Paridarshan of the Alwar saint Ramanuj acharya to Odisha. A Mahaprabhu named Chaitanya used to see Shri Jagannatha daily, during his stay in Puri. During Anavasara, he was unable to see his dear Lord, when Lord and his siblings were taken to the secret chamber for 15 days. So it was the lord’s guidance to him, as per legend, to go to Brahmagiri and visit his other temple called Alarnath.
