In 1637, Anguri Bagh was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It was a part of the garden residential complex known as Khas Mahal, and it served as a place of rest for the emperor. It was laid out in the classical Charbagh structure. In this garden, there is a private place named Zenana constructed by Shah Jahan where royal women might unwind and speak.
