    History

    This udyan was built by a commissioner of Assam named Mr. Cloe in 1906. The park was reconstructed in 1996 by M.G.V.K Bhanu. Firstly the park was named Cole park and later it was renamed Chitralekha udyan after the name of a famous person in the Aniruddha Usha love story.

    The inside view of the udyan is amazing. The park is bounded by a number of hillocks, green terrains, and blue lakes. This udyan park has a serene lake in which visitors can go boating. There are open spaces in the park with lots of variety of flowers, an open-air stage, and a restaurant. Moreover, some ancient relics have been transported to the park-like the inscription of Bhomoraguri. There is lots of entertainment. They are bumping cars, and water sports in a horse-shaped lake. Inward there are two massive and decorated stone pillars that have been brought from the Bamuni hills. The park has a model of a MIG 21 fighter plane and a map of India with state divisions prior to 2000.
