    Maa Patneswari temple is one of the best and spiritual temples in Balangir. This temple is the oldest temple. It is located beside lord Hanuman and Maa Bhairabhi temple there. It’s Situated 40 km. away from Balangir to the west Patnagarh.
    Most visitors visit this place because of the powerful presence of Maa Durga. As this temple is dedicated to Goddess Maa Durga, The devotees of Maa Kali visit this temple. In the morning, this temple is so crowded because of the morning prayer. Also, Sandha Arati is so famous for this temple.

    History

    MAA Patneswari She is the main goddess of Patnagarh. She was established 2000 years ago and has been worshiped since then. She is still worshiped today.
    Goddess Durga is worshipped in this temple, which was built by Balaram Dev. This temple is the sister of Samaleswari. In this temple, Narasimha, Maa Durga, Bhairavi, Baraha, and Hanuman are worshipped.

    The modern Patnagarh is the combination with happy synthesis of mythic past and modern present. This is a colorful temple, restored in the 20th century, with a core layer of historic artwork. This is best seen in the beautiful pillars and intricate art here. Ma Patneshwari temple is for Durga, and the Kosaleshwar temple is for Shiva. The complex includes iconography of Vishnu and Surya, along with other gods and goddesses of Hinduism.
