Malampuzha Ropeway Station is a famous tourist spot in the Palakkad district of Kerala. The main attraction of this place is the Ropeway. It is South India’s first and, to date, the only Passenger Ropeway of its kind.
The Ropeway takes visitors on an aerial tour of the park. There is the gigantic Yakshi (an enchantress) sculptured by ‘Kanai Kunhiraman,’ a renowned sculptor of Kerala. The Ropeway gives an amazing view of the whole park, including the sculpture. Another good thing is that it is traveling above the dams downstream as well. You can see the water flowing through beautifully.

The Malampuzha Ropeway is famous as it offers a unique and scenic experience. The 20-minute sky ride gives visitors a bird’s-eye view of the beautiful green park along with the Malampuzha Dam and its surrounding areas. The ride is peaceful and allows you to enjoy yourself in the lush greenery and water bodies, where the picturesque landscape works as a backdrop.
The rope ride is 626 meters long at a height of 60 ft. from the ground. The station is also situated at a height. The view from that height is mesmerizing. Flying over the garden at a height of 60 ft. provides the best panoramic view of the splendid landscapes. The ride also shows the mammoth dam, which is unique by nature and extremely safe and economical at the same time. To be honest, the view is the main attraction in this place. The twenty-minute ‘sky-ride’ on Malampuzha Ropeway is bound to give you an unforgettable experience.
