    Malampuzha Ropeway Station is a famous tourist spot in the Palakkad district of Kerala. The main attraction of this place is the Ropeway. It is South India’s first and, to date, the only Passenger Ropeway of its kind.
    The Ropeway takes visitors on an aerial tour of the park. There is the gigantic Yakshi (an enchantress) sculptured by ‘Kanai Kunhiraman,’ a renowned sculptor of Kerala. The Ropeway gives an amazing view of the whole park, including the sculpture. Another good thing is that it is traveling above the dams downstream as well. You can see the water flowing through beautifully.

    Malampuzha Ropeway Station offers a bird’s eye view of the entire area of Malampuzha Dam as well as its garden. The cable car moves over the waters of the dam. It goes at a low speed, allowing you to enjoy the ride without having to compromise the view. The experience, in general, is good. Besides, the ropeway ride is very economical and attracts a lot of tourists. However, the ropeway was commissioned in 1991. With a travel length of 626 meters, the Ropeway Bridge connects the two sides of the park.

    Malampuzha Ropeway StationThe rope ride is 626 meters long at a height of 60 ft. from the ground. The station is also situated at a height. The view from that height is mesmerizing. Flying over the garden at a height of 60 ft. provides the best panoramic view of the splendid landscapes. The ride also shows the mammoth dam, which is unique by nature and extremely safe and economical at the same time. To be honest, the view is the main attraction in this place. The twenty-minute ‘sky-ride’ on Malampuzha Ropeway is bound to give you an unforgettable experience.
    The Ropeway Bridge connects the two sides of the park. As a result, a long area will be covered by your bare eyes. Gentle Bridge will adore you at the station.     By road: It is situated in Palakkad’s ‘Malampuzha-I’ area. From the busy area of Palakkad, Malampuzha Ropeway Station is only 5 to 7 km away. Kerala is well connected with other major cities like Kolkata, Midnapore, Chennai, Siliguri, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, etc. And from Palakkad city, you will get local transport to reach the site.

    By air: The closest airport, ‘Coimbatore International Airport’ (which is an international one), is almost 66 kilometers away from this area which is in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. You can visit this place from outside of India. Apart from that, there are airports in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, or Lucknow with direct flights to Kerala through ‘Cochin International Airport,’ Kerala. From the airport, you can easily get local transport to reach the site.

    By train: The closest railway station from the Malampuzha Ropeway Station is only 7 km away at the ‘Palakkad Junction’. This station is well connected with major areas of the country. From the station, you will get local transport so that you can reach the site.
