    Nehru Park Thrissur,  is a children’s park named after the first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru. It is owned by Thrissur Municipal Corporation in Thrissur City of Kerala, India. This park is mainly built as a tribute to Nehru’s immense love for Children. This park is not only for children but also for people of all ages. This park has a beautiful garden. It is well maintained with equipment for children as well as open gym equipment for adults. There is a drinking facility and lots of places to sit for rest.     History

    Nehru Park Thrissur park was inaugurated by the first vice president of India Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan in 1959. The park was renovated and modified by constructing a newly designed compound wall with an entrance gate in 2009 and also in 2015 new modern types of play equipment for Children were fixed. It is one of the biggest parks in Thrissur. The park is spread over an area of 80 acres. This park is considered the lungs of Thrissur city.
