    History

    Nehru Traffic Park was inaugurated by then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, as a part of the Nehru Centenary celebrations. Named in honor of Jahwarlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. The Park was established with the primary objective of educating the public, especially children, about road safety and traffic rules.     By Road: Public and private buses regularly travel to Rourkela from the cities nearby, like Bhubaneswar, Puri, Kolkata, Ranchi, and Raipur

    Private Cabs can also be hired to cover the same journey in a more convenient fashion. The State Highway 10 and the National Highway 23 connect Rourkela to various cities in Odisha.
